Project Summary
K2CG furnished and installed a mechanically attached TPO membrane roof over a multi-layered, tapered (min. R-30) insulation assembly along with a complex wood paver arrangement and a SkyScape Vegetative Roof System. Additionally, K2CG furnished and installed a SYNLawn artificial landscape grass system, miscellaneous rough & finish carpentry, complex roof to wall flashings, custom water table and coping cap fabrications.
Challenges
- Working in, around and over a high traffic area of Washington DC
- Working within time frame of GC’s aggressive delivery schedule
- Coordinating phases with various trades
- Limited laydown and staging area
- Providing adequate roof protection for trades working overhead of finished work
